ILOILO CITY, Philippines – It is just recently when the 2010 Bar Exams result was officially publicized in the Philippines, bringing good results and happiness to all examinees who passed. Among the 2010 bar exams passers is a locale with cerebral palsy disability from Iloilo City, Philippines.

The examinee with cerebral palsy is identified as Julius Alegrado, a resident from Brgy. Bakhaw, Mandurriao, Iloilo City.

Alegrado is among the happy bar exam passers who are truly overwhelmed after knowing he passed the test despite his condition.

In an interview with the media, Alegrado revealed that prayer and humility are his keys to surpassing the regarded difficult examination in the Philippines despite having such physical disability.

The examinee with cerebral palsy graduated college at the West Visayas State University and finished law at Central Philippine University (CPU), wherein he received high recognition as cum laude.

According to Alegrado, aside from his physical disability and the situation of his brother who is currently incarcerated because of illegal drug usage, his willingness to pursue his dream of becoming a lawyer is also greatly influenced by his grandfather.

Julius Alegrado is presently working at the Presidential Management Staff in Metro Manila. His story clearly manifests that physical disability per se a cerebral palsy is certainly not a hindrance to fulfilling a person’s dreams of becoming a full-pledged certified lawyer in the Philippines.
